West Virginia HB4379 amends the Code of West Virginia to allow the Public Service Commission to authorize accelerated rate recovery for advanced transmission technology projects. These technologies include advanced conductors, dynamic line rating, advanced power flow controls, topology optimization, and other innovations designed to increase capacity, efficiency, reliability, resiliency, or safety of electric transmission infrastructure. The commission can allow this accelerated rate recovery when it is technically feasible and economically reasonable and prudent.
