Introduced·1/15/26
Intr Text

Allows a licensed health care facility to relocate up to 10 miles without needing a new license.

This bill amends the West Virginia Code to permit a licensed health care facility to move to a new location, up to 10 miles from its original site, without needing a new license. The facility must file an exemption application and provide a statement detailing the exemption and circumstances justifying it. The bill specifies that the transfer must not affect the charges for medical services, the bed capacity, or the health services provided by the facility. The transferred beds must retain their existing certification status.
