West Virginia HB4059 requires hospitals to collect patient immigration status data and report on uncompensated care costs for undocumented immigrants. Counties must report quarterly on expenditures for undocumented immigrants' housing, feeding, and education. The Department of Health must compile these reports and submit them to the Governor and legislative leaders. Noncompliant counties face legal violations.
