Establishes the Capitol Centennial Stewardship Account to fund improvements and activities for the Washington State Capitol.
The bill creates the Capitol Centennial Stewardship Account, managed by the state treasurer, to receive gifts, grants, and donations from public and private sources. These funds are intended for remodeling and repairs of the state capitol, interpretive and educational activities, and enhancing public participation in state government. Members of the legislature and statewide elected officials are authorized to solicit these contributions. Any remaining balance in the account after June 30, 2033, will be transferred to the Capitol Furnishings Preservation Committee Account.
