Establishes two additional basic law enforcement academy classes in a large city to reduce wait times.
The bill creates an additional regional training option for the basic law enforcement academy in a city with a population greater than 300,000. The Criminal Justice Training Commission must schedule these classes to minimize wait times and report average wait times annually. Funding of $5,000,000 is appropriated for fiscal year 2027. This section expires July 1, 2045.
