Expanding tuition waivers for high school completers at community and technical colleges.
This bill expands tuition waivers for high school completers at community and technical colleges. It waives all tuition fees and services and activities fees for children of law enforcement officers, firefighters, or Washington state patrol officers who lost their lives or became totally disabled in the line of duty. It also waives up to forty percent of the students enrolled in the regional education program for deaf students, subject to federal funding. The waivers apply only to courses leading to a high school diploma or certificate.
