The bill expands access to grants within the paid family and medical leave insurance program for small school districts. Employers with 51 to 150 employees, those with 50 or fewer employees assessed all premiums, and school districts of the second class can apply for grants. Employers can receive up to $3,000 for hiring temporary workers to replace employees on leave for seven days or more, or up to $1,000 for significant additional wage-related costs due to leave. Employers can receive one grant per employee on leave, up to ten times per year.
