The bill creates a Veterans Affairs Advisory Committee to provide advice to the governor and the director of the Department of Veterans Affairs. The committee will be composed of seventeen members appointed by the governor, including representatives from state veterans' homes, congressionally chartered or nationally recognized veterans service organizations, a member of a recognized Washington state Native American tribe, a member of the Washington National Guard, and veterans at large.
