Expands the definition of cottage food products to include certain extracts and other nonhazardous foods.

This bill amends the definition of cottage food products to include nonpotentially hazardous baked goods, baked candies, jams, jellies, preserves, fruit butters, extracts, and other nonhazardous foods identified by the director in rule. It also specifies that extracts, such as vanilla extract, intended for use in food products are allowed, as long as the created product is not intended for use as a beverage. The bill clarifies that cottage food operations are limited to home kitchens in primary domestic residences in Washington and only for direct sale to consumers.
