The bill establishes the Washington state commission on boys and men to address systemic challenges facing boys, male youth, and men. The commission will focus on mental health, physical health, substance use, suicide, educational development, workforce participation, and family stability. It will collect and analyze data, evaluate systemic factors, and develop policy recommendations. The commission consists of 15 voting members appointed by legislative leaders and the governor, and four nonvoting legislative advisory members. The commission will submit a biennial report to the legislature.
