This bill establishes fenestration certification requirements for public works contracts involving the construction, alteration, repair, remodeling, or improvement of fenestration products or systems. For contracts awarded after January 1, 2028, contractors must hold a national glazing contractor certification and employ at least one worker or supervisor with a national technician certification. For contracts awarded after January 1, 2029, at least 25 percent of employees performing fenestration work must hold a national technician certification.
