HB2017 amends existing law to require the Washington state school directors' association to provide a governance training program at no cost to school directors. The program must align with cultural competency, diversity, equity, and inclusion standards. Starting with the 2025-26 school year, the association must offer a virtual option for this training. The program must also include building necessary skills for school directors to meet the requirement in RCW 28A.343.100.
