Temporary authorization for liquor licensees in fan zones or host cities to expand alcohol sales and service.
The bill allows cities, towns, or counties designated as fan zones or host cities by sports associations to request expanded alcohol service for liquor licensees. The Liquor and Cannabis Board can approve these requests for a two-square block area or two one-block areas. The authorization allows for outdoor service of alcohol by on-premises licensees, including beer and wine restaurants, and spirits, beer, and wine areas. The expanded service is limited to June and July of 2026. Licensees can share alcohol service areas and must obtain an endorsement from the board.
