This bill allows drivers to use their paid sick leave to prepare for or participate in certain immigration proceedings. Drivers accrue one hour of paid sick leave for every 40 hours of work. They can use up to eight hours of paid sick leave in a single day. Accrued paid sick leave carries over to the next year, up to a maximum of 40 hours. Drivers must be compensated for any unused paid sick leave when they separate from employment.
