Allows county auditors and treasurers to appoint designees to firefighters' pension boards.
The bill amends Washington law to allow county auditors and county treasurers to appoint designees to serve on firefighters' pension boards. These designees can exercise the powers of the board's chairperson. If no eligible firefighters are willing or able to serve, the board can include active or retired firefighters, widows or widowers of firefighters, and the designees. A majority of board members constitutes a quorum, and they can transact business. Vacancies are filled by election among the members.
