Expands tuition waivers for high school completers at community and technical colleges.
The bill expands tuition waivers for high school completers at community and technical colleges. It allows waivers for students who begin their course of study within ten years of high school graduation. It also provides waivers for children and surviving spouses of law enforcement officers, firefighters, or Washington state patrol officers who lost their lives or became totally disabled in the line of duty. The governing boards of the community and technical colleges must report on the annual cost of tuition fees waived for these groups.
