The bill expands pharmacists' scope of practice to improve access to health care and the management of chronic diseases. Beginning December 1, 2026, pharmacists may prescribe immunizations, opioid antagonists and treatments for addiction, epinephrine autoinjectors, antihistamine agents, tobacco cessation products, medications to prevent human immunodeficiency virus, tuberculin purified protein derivative products, hormonal contraception, medications to treat or prevent diseases related to travel, and drugs, drug categories, or devices limited to exclusively as a feed for animals other than.
