Allows motorcycles to use the right shoulder of limited access roadways under certain conditions.
This bill amends existing law to allow motorcycles to temporarily use the right shoulder of limited access roadways when traffic is stopped or moving at 25 miles per hour or less. Motorcycles must not exceed the speed of adjacent traffic by more than 10 miles per hour, must not exceed one abreast on the shoulder, and must reenter traffic lanes if the shoulder is occupied. Motorcycles are prohibited from using the shoulder when approaching an exit with an alternative route or visible food or fueling services.
