The bill establishes the Washington state mental health counselors, marriage and family therapists, and social workers advisory committee. The committee consists of nine members, including two licensed mental health counselors, two licensed marriage and family therapists, one licensed advanced social worker or licensed independent clinical social worker, and three consumer members. Members serve terms of one, two, or three years, with a limit of two consecutive terms. Members must be Washington residents, not hold positions in professional associations, and not be employed by the state.
