The bill establishes a grant program administered by the office of the superintendent of public instruction to support Washington school districts in exploring and implementing later school starting times. Beginning in the 2026-27 school year, grants will be awarded for either exploration or implementation. The office will also provide information and technical assistance, including summaries of studies on student health benefits and processes used by other districts.
