The bill increases the salary of full-time deputy sheriffs who, in addition to their primary duties, supervise other deputy sheriffs or are designated as investigators by the sheriff. The salary increase is $100 for each full year of service in roles related to courtroom security, corrections, or law enforcement. The salary of any deputy sheriff cannot exceed ninety percent of the sheriff's salary.
