The bill establishes the Virginia Fungi Task Force to assess and develop recommendations on fungi in Virginia. The Task Force will conduct a gap analysis, identify economic opportunities, build a fungi database, and support research and education. The Task Force will report its findings to the Secretary of Natural Resources and the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Conservation and Natural Resources by December 1, 2027, and update the report every five years.
