Exception for certain students with disabilities from certain student assessment requirements.
The bill allows for exceptions to certain student assessment requirements for students with disabilities. An eligible student's Individual Education Program team makes the final determination as to whether an alternative method of administration is appropriate for the student. The Board of Education may also grant local school boards waivers of specific requirements, based on submission of a request from the division superintendent and chairman of the local school board.
