Vermont S0329 amends criminal procedures to prohibit firearm possession by fugitives from justice, individuals subject to final relief from abuse or stalking orders, and those charged with certain offenses. It also prohibits possession of machine guns and bump-fire stocks. The bill increases penalties for second or subsequent offenses of firearms possession by prohibited persons. Additionally, it prohibits the possession of firearms on premises licensed to serve alcohol. The act takes effect upon passage.
