Vermont S0247 prohibits the use of chemical conversion technologies for plastic disposal and regulates the sale of consumer products containing microplastics. The bill bans the manufacture, sale, or distribution of medical solution containers and medical tubing made with intentionally added di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) starting in 2030 and 2035, respectively. It also prohibits the sale of personal care products and designated cleaning products containing plastic microbeads starting in 2029.
