Vermont S0026 aims to prohibit the use of specific artificial dyes in foods and beverages served or sold at schools. The bill targets Blue 1, Blue 2, Green 3, Red 40, Yellow 5, and Yellow 6. This prohibition applies to foods and beverages served during school hours, but not to those sold away from the school campus or at least half an hour after school hours. The act will take effect on July 1, 2027.
