Establishes a statewide bargaining unit for law enforcement officers and firefighters in Vermont.

This bill creates the State Law Enforcement and Firefighters Bargaining Unit, which includes sworn law enforcement officers from the Department of Fish and Wildlife, the Department of Liquor and Lottery, and the Department of Motor Vehicles, as well as full-time state firefighters. Excluded from this unit are managerial, confidential, or supervisory employees and those already covered by existing collective bargaining agreements. The unit will have statewide bargaining rights under the State Employees Labor Relations Act, effective July 1, 2026.
