Vermont H0434 requires conservation lands purchased with Vermont Housing and Conservation Board grants to include covenants allowing hunting, trapping, and fishing, and maintaining recreational trails. These lands must also maintain trail connectivity and length, and other recreational infrastructure, unless ecological needs dictate otherwise. The Board must inform grant applicants and recipients about the funding source and display appropriate placards at grant activity locations. The act takes effect on July 1, 2025.
