Vermont H0377 introduces a tax credit for small businesses that advertise in local media outlets. The credit is refundable and applies to small businesses that dedicate a portion of their content to local news and do not receive more than a specified percentage of their gross receipts from certain political or nonprofit entities. The credit is equal to 50 percent of the advertising expenditures, up to a maximum of $250.00.
