Vermont H0252 prohibits earned time for individuals convicted of a second or subsequent felony.

Vermont H0252 amends the earned time program to exclude individuals convicted of a second or subsequent felony from receiving earned time to reduce their sentence. The bill specifies that the earned time program is not available to offenders on probation or parole, those eligible for a reduction of term, those sentenced to serve an interrupted sentence, those sentenced for a felony after a previous felony conviction, or those sentenced to life without parole. The act takes effect upon passage.
