This bill proposes to provide financial assistance for room and board expenses at residential postsecondary schools in Vermont to residents who were under the custody of the Commissioner for Children and Families or under permanent guardianship of a relative and received kinship assistance. The assistance is for students aged 18 to 24 who were in foster or kinship care for at least six months between the ages of 16 and 18.
