Naloxone Amendments: This bill extends immunity from liability for administering an expired opioid antagonist in good faith to include the administration of an expired opioid antagonist. It provides that a person licensed under Utah law to dispense an opioid antagonist may dispense an expired opioid antagonist. It requires a prescriber to offer to prescribe or dispense an opioid antagonist to a patient if the patient receives an initial opioid prescription for more than 50 morphine milligram equivalents per day.
