The bill creates the Legislative Education Support and Professional Development Commission to study gaps in communication and support among the state board, the Legislature, local education agencies, and individual educators. It examines alternatives to current professional liability insurance coverage models available to teachers, evaluates professional development and support services for educators, and assesses member's service on the commission. The commission will also examine educator recognition, accountability, and innovation.
