Utah HB0101 amends firearm background check requirements, exempting certain individuals and entities from checks and fees.

Utah HB0101 modifies the process for firearm background checks in the state. It exempts individuals who have received an approved application for the sale or transfer of a firearm from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives within the last 30 days from undergoing a background check. Federal Firearms Licensees are also exempt from the background check requirement. Additionally, concealed firearm permit holders and law enforcement officers are exempt from the background check fee.
