The Texas Senate honors Omega Psi Phi Day on March 18, 2025, celebrating the fraternity's history and contributions. Founded in 1911 at Howard University, Omega Psi Phi has expanded to over 750 chapters worldwide, including more than 50 in Texas. The fraternity has engaged in various initiatives, such as partnering with the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities to discuss mental health and with the Alzheimer's Association to raise awareness in the Black community.
