Born to Elmer and Reba Perryman, Edwin grew up with sisters Judy and Kerry. After graduating from John Tyler High School in 1971, he had a 36-year career with Southwestern Bell and AT&T. Devoted to his family, Edwin and his wife Sheryl had nine children and eight grandchildren. An active church member, he enjoyed outdoor activities, bird hunting, and gardening.
