The bill amends the Texas Government Code to allow state agencies to reimburse employees for groceries purchased within their designated headquarters if consumed while traveling for official state business. Reimbursements can only be made for groceries bought the day before or the day of travel, and must be prorated based on daily consumption. State agencies must create policies for authorizing these reimbursements before they can be issued. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
