Texas SB96 amends the Health and Safety Code to include new vaccination administration requirements and protections for health-based immunization exemptions. Vaccine administrators must provide patients with information on vaccine benefits and risks, maintain records of vaccine manufacturers and lot numbers, and report serious health problems to the federal Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System. They must also provide patients with the Vaccine Excipient Summary from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
