SB941 requires children entering state conservatorship to undergo a comprehensive assessment within 45 days, including a screening for commercial sexual exploitation risk using a validated tool. Juvenile probation departments must also screen for commercial sexual exploitation risk before case disposition. The screenings must be conducted using tools selected by the Child Sex Trafficking Prevention Unit. The Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
