Texas SB834 amends the Election Code to allow persons younger than 18 to preregister to vote if they are at least 17 years old. High school deputy registrars must distribute voter registration forms to students who will be 18 or older during the school year. The secretary of state must publish a list of high schools and their compliance status. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
