Texas SB83 amends state law to allow handgun license holders to carry concealed handguns on the campuses of public school districts and open-enrollment charter schools. School districts and charter schools cannot prohibit this. The law also prohibits these entities from restricting employees from carrying concealed handguns while performing job duties. The changes take effect September 1, 2025.
