Texas SB822 amends the Health and Safety Code to prohibit the manufacture, processing, possession, distribution, offer for sale, and sale of cell-cultured protein. The bill also amends the definition of adulterated food to include cell-cultured protein. The executive commissioner of the Health and Human Services Commission is required to adopt any rules necessary to implement the changes in law made by this Act.
