Texas SB788 amends Section 39A.111 of the Education Code to allow the commissioner to order specific interventions for school districts with campuses that have an unacceptable performance rating for five consecutive years. The bill takes effect immediately if it receives a two-thirds vote in both houses of the Texas Legislature, otherwise it will take effect on September 1, 2025.
