Texas SB704 amends the process for filling vacancies on boards of certain property owners' associations.
Texas SB704 modifies the Property Code to establish that any board member whose term has expired must be elected by owners who are members of the property owners' association. If a vacancy occurs on the board, the board must order a special election to fill the vacancy. The elected board member will serve until the next regular election of members to the board. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
