Texas SB70 amends the Transportation Code to allow vehicles transporting aggregates to operate with axle weights up to 15% over the maximum allowable weight, provided the gross weight of the vehicle does not exceed the maximum gross weight authorized for the roadway. This Act takes effect immediately if approved by a two-thirds vote in both houses; otherwise, it will take effect on September 1, 2025.
