Texas SB67 amends the Texas Labor Code to permit contested case hearings in the workers' compensation system to be conducted via videoconference. This applies to claimants who are emergency medical technicians, firefighters, or peace officers, or those residing more than 75 miles from the hearing site. Additionally, hearings can be conducted by videoconference if the insurance carrier is the State Office of Risk Management, The Texas A&M University System, the Texas Department of Transportation, or The University of Texas System. The changes take effect on September 1, 2025.
