Texas SB565 allows the commission to suspend enforcement actions against regional services during integration.
Texas SB565 amends the Water Code to allow the commission to enter into compliance agreements with regional water supply, sewer, wastewater treatment, or solid waste disposal services. These agreements suspend enforcement actions for existing or anticipated violations during the integration of services by another entity, including a retail public utility. The compliance agreements must include provisions to bring the integrated service into compliance. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
