Texas SB368 amends the low income housing tax credit program to allow developments supported by these credits to give occupancy preferences to teachers and other employees of the school district where the development is located, and their household members, provided all other occupancy requirements under state and federal law are met. The change applies to applications submitted during the 2026 qualified allocation plan cycle. The act takes effect September 1, 2025.
