Texas SB365 amends the Education Code to allow public institutions of higher education to disregard academic course credits or grades earned by an applicant more than 10 years before enrollment, except for those earned within the last five years. Institutions may choose to disregard credits or grades from an additional period, but must disregard all credits or grades from that period. Each institution must adopt, post, and submit a policy regarding the admissions process, including the period for which an applicant's course credits or grades will be considered.
