SB304 amends the Government Code to allow municipal courts to enforce health and safety and nuisance abatement ordinances. Municipal courts can have civil jurisdiction over these ordinances and concurrent jurisdiction with district or county courts within the municipality's limits and on municipal property outside those limits. The courts can also issue search warrants to investigate violations and seizure warrants to remove offending property and debris. The changes take effect September 1, 2025.
